Today's guest in Hammers Hule, Alex Pedersen, has been around cycling for most of his life. Alex is a former professional cyclist, but heart problems and a back injury put a stop to his active career at the age of 25. After a while, Alex decided to try his dream as a cyclist again, and managed to win the World Amateur Road Cycling Championships in 1994. The cycling suit was subsequently replaced by a suit, and Alex Pedersen can today write director of Ikast-Bording Elite HĂ„ndbold, director of Ugeavisen Herning and editor-in-chief and managing director of Vejle Amts Folkeblad on his CV. However, Alex couldn't completely let go of the cycling world, and has been one of the main forces behind bringing the Giro d'Italia to Herning in 2012. In recent years, he has similarly worked to bring the Tour de France to Denmark. An event that will become a reality this summer.
